Synopsis
Cyril, almost 12, has only one plan: to find the father who left him temporarily in a children’s home. By chance he meets Samantha, who runs a hairdressing salon and agrees to let him stay with her at weekends. Cyril doesn’t recognize the love Samantha feels for him, a love he desperately needs to calm his rage

Director Biography
Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne were born in Liège, Belgium. Together they write, produce and direct their films. They founded the production companies Dérives and Les Films du Fleuve. In addition to several documentaries, two Belgian directors achieved their first major success in 1996 with The Promise (La Promesse). They have co-directed the feature films Falsch (1987), Je pense à vous (1992), Le fils (2002) and Lorna’s Silence (2008) which won Best Screenplay at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. They earned an international fame by winning the Palme d'Or with Rosetta in 1999. Six years later, Dardenne brothers won the Palme d'Or a second time with The Child (L'Enfant). Their latest film The Kid with a Bike won the Grand Prix at 2011 Cannes Film Festival (shared with Once Upon a Time in Anatolia by Nuri Bilge Ceylan).
